It’s not necessary to talk about all our traumas in order to heal them.  But we do have to face the parts of ourselves that we have dissociated, denied, or pulled away from in order to release. It’s important to have a different outcome to and association with our triggers in order to re-pattern them.

Our bodies clench and tighten in response to trauma as a way to protect ourselves. We may have spent most of our life with some part of our body clenched tightly and not even realize it.  In order for the body to release this hold it needs to feel safe and held, like when we receive a very tight hug or squeeze from someone we love and trust. We can collapse into that hug and let go.

Rope binds and envelopes you. Rope helps you feel. Rope holds you and the emotions and sensations that you may not be able to hold for yourself. And when you receive help in holding thes things it’s easier to release.

In my Bodywork & Bondage offering I blend bodywork, somatic exercises, and rope bondage in floor ties to allow your body to surrender into a deep release. We negotiate types of touch and sensations, and hone into your intention for the space.

Sessions last from 1.5- 2 hours with check in, rope work, and aftercare. In order to schedule this type of service we will do a vetting call first if we have not worked together previously.
